Ministry Opportunity as Children's and Families Pastor (Danville)

The following position is open at River Oak Church of God in Danville, Virginia.

Full-time Children’s & Families Pastor:

River Oak Church, located in Danville, VA, is expanding our ministry TEAM by seeking a full-time Children’s and Families Pastor. River Oak is an emerging church celebrating one-hundred years of ministry. We are a growing and vibrant church focused on these three principles, find, serve, and grow. We are “found to find, underserving, yet blessed, to serve, and empowered to grow.” This is our identity, and we are moving forward into our future.

The Children’s and Families Pastor has direct pastoral oversight and care for all volunteers/staff, directors, families, and children involved in these areas:

ROC Kid’s (1st – 5th Grade)
River Bank Kid’s (K4-K5)
River Tot’s (2-3)
River Nursery (0-2)

The ideal candidate will have the following characteristics and qualifications:

Preferred but not required:

-Experience in leading a ministry with a large volunteer/staff and participant base
-Experience in leading with a large pastoral TEAM
-Credentialed or pursuing credentials with the Church of God, Cleveland, TN
-Bachelor’s Degree in children’s ministry, youth ministry, pastoral ministry, or in a biblical/ministry field
