Administrative Bishop’s Statement on Violence and Racism in our Land

I join our General Overseer Dr. Tim Hill, in condemning the sin of racism. There is no room for racial profiling and acts of violence from anyone in our society. Silence and inactivity will not work; we must solve this problem together.

I ask the Church of God in Virginia to recognize the sin of racism and become part of the solution. To that end, we must have serious conversations with all of our constituents with the aim being to listen, to formulate a plan of action, and to become involved in changing our culture.

Join with me in praying for healing and reconciliation.
