As an integral part of reaching the least, the last, and the lost, Church of God World Missions is aggressively taking on the imposing task of changing the lives of as many people as possible through providing clean drinking water. We are told that over 600 million people on our planet lack access to clean water. (waterisbasic.org) Shockingly, it is revealed to us that every 2 minutes a child dies from a water-related illness. (water.org) You and I are outraged when we hear about children being killed by bullets. We should be. Yet more children die from the lack of clean water than are killed by bullets every year. (news.un.org) While we can do little to end the scourge of wars which kill innocent children, we can do something about the plight of children without access to clean water.

            The Virginia Church of God has heard and is responding to the challenge of providing clean water to as many people as possible. By giving to the Clean Water project, number 102-0365-001 at cogwm.org,  you and I are investing not only in water, but in those who quench their thirst from a well also are told about the Water of Life. Jesus is preached where wells are dug by Church of God World Missions. Jesus is shared where Church of God World Missions provides purifying systems.
