Ministry Opportunity as Part-Time Children's Pastor in Ashland

Job Posting: Part-Time Children’s Pastor
Location: Ashland Church of God

As a church seeking to reach and disciple the next generation, we are looking for an experienced Children's Pastor with a heart for children and their families.  The goal of this position is to meet the spiritual needs of our children while at the same time ministering to the specific needs of families. We are looking for someone who has a passion for God, the ability to build and lead teams while at the same time being a team player.

Ministry Responsibilities:

• Willingness to work a flexible schedule up to 20 hours per week.

• Willingness to participate in the vision of The Ashland Church to Love-Grow-Serve within the community.

• Have a passion for children and connecting with their families.

• Provide leadership and develop children's ministry leadership teams.

• Establish and facilitate discipleship opportunities for children birth through elementary school and their families.

• Prepare and oversee the necessary budget to accomplish these goals.

• Provide opportunities for children's activities outside regular service times with the goal of growing and involving student's families (Movie nights, Lego nights, Shut-In, etc.).

• Work with ministry leaders to coordinate visitation and counseling for children and their families.

• Recruit volunteers to assist in all aspects of children's ministries.

• Plan and lead key events during “Big Days” and Holidays.

Ministry Requirements:

• Church staff ministry experience working with children and their families.

• Licensure in the Church of God or willingness to pursue credentialing.

• Licensure from another denomination as long as the willingness to pursue COG is considered.

Compensation:

• Compensation will be assessed within the interview process.
