Funeral for Sharon Akers, Mother of Pam Smith (Childress COG)

We have received word at the State Office of the passing of Sharon Alberta Long Akers, Mother of Pam Smith, Pastor’s Wife at Childress Church of God.

-Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, February 23, 2026 in the Maberry Funeral Home Chapel in Floyd, Virginia, with Pastor Ronnie Duncan and Pastor Ronald Smith officiating.

-Visitation: The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until 1 p.m. on Monday prior to the service at the funeral home.

-Entombment will follow at Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
