Greetings to you from the Virginia Church of God State Office. I want to take a moment to let you know that Kimberly and I are thrilled to be serving as your new state pastor. We look forward to meeting and serving you. The purpose of this very important message is to inform you that the upcoming State Ministers meeting that was originally scheduled for Friday and Saturday October 2nd and 3rd has been rescheduled out of necessity because of reasons beyond our control.
The original date had been confirmed for over a year to accommodate and coordinate with the available date of our service provider, Suran, who assists us with voting devices. In the last couple of days, we have been informed by ministers across the state that securing hotel accommodations has become increasingly challenging for Friday night and has become cost-prohibitive due to a Virginia Tech football game that is scheduled on the same weekend as our Ministers Meeting. It is my understanding that this game had not been scheduled at the time of committing the date of the Ministers Meeting to the state calendar.
Therefore, it was determined out of necessity and wisdom to adjust the date of our upcoming State Ministers Meeting for the purpose of providing a better opportunity for hotel availability at a more affordable rate.
Please note that the NEW DATE for our State Ministers Meeting is now scheduled for Thursday evening October 1st at 6:30 PM and Friday morning October 2nd at 8:30 AM at the Valley Church in Roanoke.
I encourage you to book your hotel accommodation as soon as possible. The Fairfield Inn is providing a special rate through the 15th of this month. You must call them direct and ask for the Virginia Church of God rate. ($104.00++/night)

Fairfield Inn has graciously extended the “Church of God” rate for the night of October 1 reservations ($104). But rooms are limited.
Call 540.362.4200 and request “Church of God” rate to get the special rate.
Please note: Fairfield will not be able to offer the rate after September 15 due to demand for rooms for the area’s weekend events.
