Canteen Dedication - Mac Shack - June 11

We are honored to recognize the life and legacy of Bishop William M. McCarty, who faithfully served the Church of God in Virginia from 1995 until his passing in January 2025. Throughout his ministry—as an evangelist, pastor, and devoted member of numerous boards and committees—Bishop McCarty exemplified servant leadership, generosity, and unwavering commitment to the Church. His impact is deeply felt across the state, and his memory continues to inspire those who follow in his footsteps.

As a special tribute to his legacy, we are renaming the canteen on campus, the Mac Shack.

Please mark your calendars for this special dedication ceremony on June 11 at 2:00 PM, held on the State Campus during Camp Meeting week. We will gather together with the McCarty family to dedicate the Campus Canteen in Bishop McCarty’s honor—an occasion not to be missed.
