The Great Commonwealth of Virginia is proud to have with us Administrative Bishop Joseph Mirkovich and his wife Betty, who serves as our Women's Ministries Director. Bishop Mirkovich began his pastoral ministry planting churches in Virginia Church of God several years ago and considers this current appointment as Administrative Bishop as coming back home. He has previously served as the Administrative Bishop in New York, Texas, Alabama, and Mississippi. He has also served in leadership at Pathway Publishing.
We are thrilled to have the Mirkoviches back "home" with us here in Virginia.
Church of God in Virginia is pleased to announce the appointment of Travis and Kelly Gore as its new State Youth & Discipleship Director and Girls Ministries Coordinator, effective October 1. Travis and Kelly have been married for 21 years and have a son, Jentzen age 16, and daughter, Jacey age 13. Travis is also currently serving on the International Youth Board.
Travis and Kelly recently served as senior pastor of the Pulaski Church of God following several other pastorates and youth pastor positions. He has served for numerous terms on the State Council, Evangelism Board, and Youth Board for the Church of God in Virginia.
Virginia is fortunate to have the Gores as such capable leaders as our new Youth and Discipleship Director and Girls Ministries Coordinator. Please continue to welcome them with open arms to our state leadership team.
The Carys joined the Virginia State Office team in August of 2011 after serving three Virginia congregations as pastor for over 17 years. They also served on the staff of a local church for three years prior to going into pastoral ministry.
Mark has served several terms on the Virginia State Council, the State Youth Board, and the Ministerial Development Board. Wanda has also served the state as a member of the Women's Ministries Board. From August 2011 until August 2017 one of the Carys' duties was leading the Youth and Discipleship ministries for the state. In September 2017 Mark became the Ministries Director and Wanda assumed the role of credentialing secretary.
Mark and Wanda were married in August of 1984 and have two adult daughters and sons-in-law who have given them amazing grandchildren.
Bishop David E. Hagee is a native of Virginia, where he began his ministry in 1970, serving as an evangelist. He has pastored for 26 years in the state of Virginia. He served as Evangelism and Ministerial Director from 1990 to 1994, and as Ministerial Development Director from 1998 until 2017.
He has also been a member of the Virginia State Council, the Evangelism Board, and the Youth and Christian Education Board. He has chaired and served on many appointed boards and committees in Virginia, and his wife Janice has served on the Virginia State Women's Ministries Board and has been featured on state programs and at local churches.
They continue to have a desire to reap this last days' harvest in Virginia as they serve in this new role caring for the retired ministers of the state.
The Virginia State Office is proud to welcome Carlos and Teresa Ramos to our staff. Effective August 1, Brother Ramos will be serving the Church of God in Virginia in the official capacity of Coordinator of Hispanic Ministries.
